Toby had a lot of love for Michael McIntyre.

Last week's episode of BBC game show The Wheel saw blind contestant Toby walk away with £45,000, and now he's opened up about how the show was adapted for him as a blind person.

Toby, who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion Blind FC, took to TikTok after his big win and said, "I’ve been asked a lot what the BBC did to make my experience as a blind person much easier on the show. Honestly, they were absolutely brilliant."

He continued, "Firstly, they brought in an external member of staff to be my guide for the day, off the set and on the set, and they allowed me to go around the set beforehand to get my bearings. They even let my girlfriend come with me, just to make me feel safe, bless them."

Toby also had high praise for host Michael McIntyre, saying he was "absolutely incredible" and "read out all the questions twice, made sure I knew where all the celebrities were and what topics they had."

"[Michael] even described what was going on while the wheel was moving, which was actually really funny," Toby added.

Toby noted that looking at the questions and potential answers is a crucial part of answering a question, but he couldn't do that. However, he said that "the BBC did offer me a braille question sheet. I don’t read braille, unfortunately, but the thought was really, really sweet."

"Massive shoutout to the BBC. They made my day really easy and enjoyable," Toby concluded.

Well done the BBC. More of this please!
