Rare David Bowie demo from 1965 'I Want Your Love' is up for auction

Now this would be a Christmas present to remember.

A rare David Bowie demo is up for auction today (Thursday December 16), and you could get your hands on the 1965 'I Want Your Love'

The vinyl was recorded by a teenage Bowie with his band, Davy Jones and the Lower Third.

It's expected to fetch up to £12,000 - so maybe have a dig around in the sofa for any spare change floating about.

Auctioneer Martin Hughes said: “The seller purchased the physical music archive of one of the world’s biggest publishing companies and therefore unearthed a raft of amazing demos and unheard tracks from huge artists.”

It's a rarity that would take pride of place in any collection,

One of Bowie's suits previously went up for auction earlier this year.

Bowie wore it on a single night out at The Blitz Club, however, it was left in the cloakroom and claimed by promoter Steve Strange.

The star decided to leave behind the Issey Miyake suit after realising it had cigarette burns, so changed into a new outfit.

It was predicted to sell for 10,000-£15,000.

Next month a livestream concert is being held to mark what would have been Bowie's 75th birthday.

Members of Bowie's band will perform, along with Gary Oldman, Ricky Gervais, Evan Rachel Wood, Simon Le Bon and more, on January 8.
