Stacey Solomon and husband Joe Swash will go head-to-head in battle of the bestseller book charts

There's nothing like a bit of healthy competition with your new spouse, is there? Stacey Solomon has revealed that her and husband Joe Swash's new books are coming out at the same time and battling it out in the run-up to Christmas.

The Loose Women star is bringing out her second crafty home care book, Tap To Tidy at Pickle Cottage, which will be released on September 29, while actor Joe Swash is bringing out his own cookery book, Joe's Kitchen, just two weeks later on October 13.

Talking to Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on podcast Parenting Hell, the former singer told the hosts: "He has a cookbook out. He's so funny because he doesn't tell me anything and then he'll post on Instagram, 'I've got a cookbook out.'

"I'm like, 'Babe, you could have told me?' And he's like, 'Oh, yeah'."

Celebrity MasterChef finalist Joe has described his new culinary offering as 'homemade meals for a happy family', while Stacey's second book is described as 'a DIY version of a cookbook'.

The pair, who share two children together, recently got married at their home which they call 'Pickle Cottage'.

Joe has just returned from filming CBBC's The Dengineers, while Stacey has been at home looking after their four children.

She told followers on Instagram: "It's been an interesting week. Joe's gone away for two weeks so I've been trying to get into the swing of it all around work without him."

She added: "It's just us at the minute so I am just trying to keep my head above the water."
