It feels like our own Graham Norton has rubbed shoulders with literally every star in Hollywood by now, but it turns out there are still celebs on his list he has yet to get on that famous red couch.

The Graham Norton Show on BBC One will be back in September, and according to Graham himself, there are still a few big-screen stars he’s desperate to get.

When speaking to virginradio.co.uk and other press at the RTS Programme Awards, where the host was honoured with an Outstanding Achievement prize, Graham revealed which A-listers he still wants to appear.

“Never had Brad Pitt?” He explained. “I don’t think I’ve ever had Julia Roberts.”

Having another second to think about it, Graham continued: “I might’ve had them, but in my mind, we haven’t had them!”

The show has run for 29 incredible seasons, and people keep coming back for more of the late night chat show.

When asked why people, both viewers and big-name stars, can't get enough of GNS, Graham responded: “What we’ve tried to do is give guests the best possible time. They know they’re going to have a nice time, nothing bad happens, and that gets us the big names so I think in the end, that’s what keeps you going.

“If you’re the number one port of call for any big celebs who are out there selling stuff, then that keeps you on air.”

Meanwhile, Graham not only lent his own writing but also his voice to the new TV adaptation of his cosy crime novel Holding.

The four-part drama aired on ITV, and although fans may not have actually seen the superstar DJ and presenter, Graham's voice was heard on the radio during the opening scene.

One viewer excitedly commented on Twitter: "So Graham Norton does a cameo as a radio presenter. As the Garda car pulls into the petrol station in Caheragh."

On his surprise cameo, Graham told virginradio.co.uk: “I did make a tiny cameo, it was nice, they asked me and I felt suitably flattered so I did it.”

Holding is available to watch on the ITV hub now.
