Queen's Roger Taylor still has a 20-foot Freddie Mercury statue in his home grounds

What have you got in your garden? A planter perhaps? A couple of gnomes? How about a 20-foot statue of Queen legend Freddie Mercury?

Music icon Roger Taylor has confirmed he's still got a statue of his late legendary band mate and buddy in the grounds of his Surrey garden. 

The Queen drummer picked up the huge memorial from outside the Dominion Theatre in London where The Queen musical We Will Rock You was housed for 12 years up until 2014.

He told The Daily Star when asked about his spectacular garden feature: "Yes, absolutely. I said, 'Why don't they just put it on a lorry and we'll put it in the garden?'"

Roger previously said about the sculpture which was taken from Tottenham Court Road: "I have a statue of Freddie in the garden, which I love. It's great, it's very big. I also thought it would be very funny to have the statue there and I think Freddie would have found it hilarious. He would have found it really funny."

The rock star recently gave fans a home tour prior to the release of Queen and Adam Lambert's Live Around The World DVD.

Roger told fans on Instagram: "Hi everybody, it’s Roger here. I’m deep in the heart of Covid, God help us all, eh?

"Now look, our DVD is gonna be downloadable at the end of the month.
