Feeling hungry? The Hairy Bikers joined the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky today to tell Sam Pinkham all about their new book, 'Veggie Feasts'.
Sam started by asking how the idea came about when the duo has made many meaty dishes on their shows.
Si King said: "I think it's been a conversation, we have vegans and vegetarians in our family. It's a distillation of a conversation that's gone on for about four years. Dave and I quite naturally found that we were eating less and less meat, so the natural progression for that was when we were offered another book, we wanted to do it on veggies."
He continued: "We've got great produce across the UK and Europe, and it's nice to give vegetarian and vegan cuisine centerstage. It was a fabulous book to work on because it's really creative."
"We've been able to bring all of our experiences of travel and different cuisines into one place, just to highlight how brilliant actually vegetarian and vegan cuisine can be. We're really, really proud of this book." enthuses Si.
The pair say they've reduced their meat intake substantially, now only eating it for half of the week.
Sam even got to try out some of the dairy-free brownies, and the verdict was a definite success.
The new book, The Hairy Bikers 100 Veggie Feasts is out now.
