Daft Punk fans left disappointed after 'Alive 2017' hoax

Fans of electronic music duo Daft Punk have reacted with disappointment after a tour and website launch for a live album appeared to be a hoax. 

Yesterday was the supposed launch date of the website .  Daft Punk have two live albums called  and  named after their tours in those years, and fans were eagerly hoping the decade trend would continue in 2017. 

But yesterday saw no major announcement on the page. The website NME later traced the web domain of the site, to discover it was located in North Carolina, thereby proving it was merely a fan site. 

To add insult to injury, the duo were later confirmed not to be playing at Glastonbury, ending wild rumours they would be making an appearance. 

Ah well. At least there's still hope for
