Big Brother fans are waiting patiently for the show to return to our screens, and there are some exciting rumours afoot of what we can expect.
AJ Odudu and Will Best are hosting, with the famous voice of Marcus Bentley narrating.
Viewers will be excited as it's now been confirmed that Big Brother WILL feature a nightly live stream.
ITV have suggested that while a full 24-hour stream isn’t returning, footage from in the house “will be live streamed into the small hours every night on ITV after the Big Brother companion show.”
The main show will air from Sunday, 8th October 9-10pm Sundays to Fridays followed by the spin-off. Following the spin-off, a live stream from the house will be available for fans to watch on ITVX.
The live feed used to run for 24 hours when it was first introduced in 2000.
We might see different contestants onscreen this year, too. A source said that producers are avoiding "Love Island-type contestants or fame-hungry influencers."
They told The Sun: "The casting team and producers are now in the final selection stages and have shortlisted their favourite applicants.
"So far the potential housemates selected are diverse and reflective of the population.
‘They’re hoping long-time fans of the show and new viewers are represented on screen.’
One of the presenters, Will, added: "It’s going back to being real people."
"The focus of this is it’s going to be an entertainment show, but it’s going to be fun and funny with all of that emotion and realness that you get with Big Brother,"’ he added."
Paul Mortimer, director of reality commissioning and acquisitions and controller, ITV2, ITVBe and CITV said: ‘This refreshed, contemporary new series of Big Brother will contain all the familiar format points that kept viewers engaged and entertained the first time round, but with a brand new look and some additional twists that speak to today’s audience.’
Big Brother was watched by an average of 5.89million people at the height of the show, during the third season where Kate Lawler won.
Big Brother will begin airing on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm on Sunday, 8th October. It will continue every night, Sundays to Fridays, for six weeks on ITV2 and ITVX.
