A new trailer has landed for upcoming movie The Flash, and it features a whole lot of Batman.

The debut film adaptation of the DC superhero features Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, who uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. It also stars Michael Shannon as bad guy General Zod, and Sasha Calle as Kara Danvers/Supergirl.

Excitingly, Michael Keaton will reprise his iconic role of Bruce Wayne/Batman from the 1990 film and the 1992 sequel, Batman Returns. Not only that, but Ben Affleck also returns as his version of the caped crusader.

Following the first trailer for the film, which arrived in February, a second one has now been released

The new trailer opens by showing viewers Wayne Manor and the Bat Cave, complete with classic Batman costumes.

“I lost my parents. That pain made me who I am. I spent a lifetime trying to right the wrongs of the past, as if fighting crime would bring my parents back,” Keaton’s Bruce Wayne says to  Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen. “You actually did it.”

Later in the clip, we see Miller’s protagonist explain: “I went back to save my parents. Instead, I completely broke the universe.”

In a nod to Keaton’s first Batman movie, the legendary actor says: “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts.”

Later, we see Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, and as Batman.

The film’s synopsis explains: “Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian -- albeit not the one he's looking for.”

The Flash will be released in cinemas on 16th June, 2023.
