Don't look behind you. Ghostface is coming. Scream 6 is on its way and a new spine-tingling teaser advert has dropped ahead of the Super Bowl this weekend in the US.

Crawling into cinemas on 10th March, the latest scary instalment is set to be even more terrifying than ever before and 'isn't like any other Ghostface'. The franchise stars Scream originals Courteney Cox and Hayden Panettiere, along with Jasmin Savoy Brown, Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Samara Weaving and Mason Gooding.

Paramount’s Chris Aronson teased: “Scream fans are among the most loyal and passionate out there, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring them this latest terrifying chapter like never before, in a visceral 3D format.

"In this iteration, the Scream universe moves beyond Woodsboro and into New York City, and the Big Apple called for even bigger scares, surprises, and frightening turns. We can’t wait for fans to see what Ghostface has in store for them this time.“

The new super-evil Ghostface has relocated from the Woodsboro, California to New York where it can be seen stalking people in the city and on the New York subway.

The preview clip ends when Tara Carpenter (Ortega) shouts: "C'mon motherf****r!"

Cox told Entertainment Weekly last month about bringing Ghostface to New York. She said: "Taking the character out of a small town and putting them in the heart of the city that never sleeps is more terrifying than ever."

Ortega said last year that Ghostface is 'a lot more intimidating' than ever before. She explained: "I just read part of the script, and it just gets more and more gory. I think that this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we've ever seen, which I think will really be fun to shoot."
