Frozen dream queens Samantha Barks and Stephanie McKeon joined the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky to talk about the smash hit coming to the stage in September and chanelling their inner Elsa and Anna.
Samantha told Chris: "It started on Broadway and it was all the magic you'd want and more. It's all over the world now, it's in Japan, Germany, here, Australia so it's great bringing the magic everywhere.
"Most people know the film, but it gives an opportunity to explore more of the characters because you get all the backstory, more songs and so everything that you love from the film and all the magical moments, but there's loads more that you get excited about with the sisters and Olaf and all the characters. It’s even more magic."
Stephanie added: “Like Sam, I saw it on Broadway and it was just magical. It's everything you want from the movie plus so much more because it's all these extra songs, there's more time for really getting to know the characters. It's brilliant.
“It’s something that you just have to come and experience because everyone knows the songs but it's in a live setting, in your face and it's really special.
"There's new songs that no one has heard yet so we get the honour of being able to share that. It's by the same composers, so it's just brilliant. It's everything you love about the original plus more."
On performing again after lockdown, Samantha said: “It’s going to be so emotional because after the year we've all had, we're all so excited to come back together and see live performance.
“It makes me emotional thinking about sharing that with an audience and seeing their faces. Being able to go through that journey together is something we've all been looking forward to."
Having her dreams come true, aside from her explosive talent, Sam said: "At heart, I'm still like the five-year-old me just like, yay!
"I feel lucky to get to do what we do because lots of people sing but we feel lucky we get to take on a show like this and sing this material. It's so well written so it’s a joy."
