Dave Grohl joined Billie Eilish onstage at one of her trio of shows in Los Angeles this week, and the duo treated the crowd to a rendition of the Foo Fighters’ anthem, My Hero.

Back in April, Billie Eilish paid tribute to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, during an emotional performance at the Grammy Awards.

After the singer-songwriter welcomed Grohl onto the stage at her gig at the Kia Forum yesterday (15th December) to a rapturous reception, the Foos’ frontman said to the crowd: “Earlier this year, all of the Foo Fighters and our families gathered together at my house to watch The Grammys, and when Billie came out for her performance in the Taylor Hawkins t-shirt, the room was filled with real tears of love and gratitude.

“So, from our families, who are here tonight, the Hawkins family, and everyone, we’d like to thank you very much.”

He concluded: “So, let’s sing it for Taylor,” before the pair duetted on the song.

Fans have been sharing footage of the performance on social media, as did the Kia Forum’s official Twitter page.

Dave Grohl isn’t the only special guest that the huge-selling pop star brought out during her shows. She also teamed up with Phoebe Bridgers for a live rendition of the latter’s popular track, Motion Sickness.

She was also joined by Labrinth, to perform a song from TV show Euphoria.

Fresh from having led the musical line-up for the Prince of Wales' Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, Eilish has also recently been announced as one of the big acts for next year’s Reading & Leeds festival. Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Foals, The Killers and Imagine Dragons have also been confirmed.

Other acts on the lineup include West Leg, Steve Lacy, The Snuts, and Bicep.
