Ahead of dropping a new deluxe edition of his hit album, Seventeen Going Under, later this year, Sam Fender has revealed a bonus track from it.

Arriving on December 9th, the release will feature the original deluxe album plus additional B-sides and a disc of live recordings from the massive sold-out show at London’s Finsbury Park earlier this year.

Sam took to Twitter yesterday (October 24th), to tease the song, before unveiling it in full this morning. He wrote: “Wild Grey Ocean with you tomorrow 🌊 this new track features on the Seventeen Going Under live deluxe CD (out 9th Dec) X”

The double CD release will feature ten bonus tracks, including the above cut, and will also include a CD of 16 songs recorded live at Finsbury Park in July.

And that’s not the only offering from Sam on 9th December, as the acclaimed singer-songwriter will also drop a standalone Live From Finsbury Park double album on coloured vinyl on the same day.

The record will also be available via the usual streaming platforms.

The Finsbury Park gig in the summer was one of the singer’s biggest shows to date, with 45,000 people in attendance. Sam’s set included his big hitters from his two records to date, including the title track of his Mercury-nominated latest album, as well as Getting Started, Spit of You, and Hypersonic Missiles.

Last month, the Geordie musician announced that he is set to play two huge shows at the home stadium of his beloved Newcastle United. He will play St. James’ Park on 9th June 2023, and tickets were so popular that Sam has added a second date on Saturday 10th June as well!

The singer was recently praised for sharing a mental health update after cancelling some US tour dates, as well as his support slot with Florence and the Machine and the Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas.

“It seems completely hypocritical of me to advocate discussion on mental health and write songs about it if I don't take the time to look after my own mental health," he wrote in a statement on Twitter.

Sam added that he will be back on the road soon though, saying: “Super excited for Australia in late November and everything to come in 2023 - St James’ Park man!”
