Mel C and Mel B are working on 'manifesting' a reunion.

Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm has told the Mirror that she and bandmate Scary Spice Mel B have been “manifesting” the day that the Spice Girls can get back together – this time with Posh Spice Victoria Beckham included.

“You’ve got to manifest these things,” she said. “I’ve taken a leaf out of Mel B’s book – she always believed we were finally going to do it.”

After bringing the Spice Girls phenomenal success to an end in 2000, the five-piece reunited for a tour in 2007, performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympics in 2012 and toured again (without Victoria) in 2019, but fans are keen to see the group together in full once more.

And so are the other girls.

“[Mel B] said when we were on tour a couple of years ago, ‘It’ll happen, we just need to manifest it’, so that’s what I’ve been trying to do. If you believe in something hard enough, surely it’s bound to happen eventually?”

Sporty sang Spice Girls hits 'Spice Up Your Life' and '2 Become 1' with the Blossoms at Glastonbury in July. She says the experience inspired hope of a potential festival headline act for the Spice Girls in 2023.

“I was down in those fields in the midst of those magical festival feelings and I just thought, we need to make this happen,” she says. “I’d love to be back on that stage with the girls, it would be incredible. And we know it’s what the fans desperately want. It’s a no-brainer for me.

"You can count me in, but I think others might need a bit more convincing!”

Melanie - whose first memoir is released this September - is hoping Victoria will have a change of heart. “There’s nothing we’d love more than to get Victoria back,” Melanie admits.

Spice Girls fans should be excited after the band’s official Twitter account tweeted a message with the hashtag #Spiceworld25, hinting at a coming announcement. This year marks 25 years since the film Spice World was released in December 1997.
