Pop sensation Ava Max will bring the party to Trafalgar Square next month!
The Kings & Queens hit-maker will headline Pride in London when it returns on Saturday 2nd July. This year’s event will mark 50 years since the city’s first ever Pride march in 1972.
Following a special parade that traces the original route from 1972, the four stages in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Golden Square and the Soho Stage on Dean Street will play host to over 100 performers including stars and famous faces from the LGBTQ+ community.
Alongside Ava on the Trafalgar Square line-up is Emeli Sande, Eurovision winner Netta, Samantha Mumba, and Kat Graham.
Other performers across the stages on Pride day include Justin Vivian Bond, stars of Pride’s recent Proud & Loud concert at the Royal Albert Hall Cat Burns and Ariōn, along with Drag Race Superstars The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, Tia Kofi and Victoria Scone.
Dreya Mac, Siena Liggins, London Gay Big Band, Mila Jam, Bang Bang Romeo, Jack Hawitt, as well as Cedric Neal and Matt Willis from Kinky Boots in Concert at Drury Lane and the cast from & Juliet will also hit the stages across the capital.
Speaking of big Pride parties, Joe Lycett will be hosting his own in his hometown for Channel 4.
Live from his Birmingham hometown, the two hour special, called Joe Lycett's Big Pride Party, will champion all things LGBTQ+ alongside a number of famous faces.
The Big Pride Party will take place during Channel 4’s Proud All Over season, and will include the likes of Rupert Everett, Heartstopper stars Joe Locke and Yasmin Finney, Years and Years singer Olly Alexander, comedian Mawaan Rizwan and Drag Race stars Tia Kofi and Tayce.
Tia is also part of Virgin Radio Pride’s weekday schedule, on every Friday from 7-8pm.
This weekend, Stephen Sullivan will be back with the Drag Breakfast from 6am, and Mr Showbiz himself, Crossy, will take over Saturday afternoons for 4pm.
On Sunday evening (12th June), Emma Goswell will be joined by two chatty guests from the LGBTQ+ family about the community, and will dissect The Big Conversation too.
Pride in London will take place on 2nd July.
