Pearl Jam’s biggest ever London shows just got even bigger.

The British Summertime Hyde Park headliners will be joined by special guests Stereophonics for their second night on Saturday 9th July.

The Welsh rockers last played at the Royal Park over a decade ago, having performed for the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening ceremony.

Kelly Jones and the gang will be joined by acts such as Imelda May, The Last Internationale and The Wild Things.

Pixies were previously announced as the Friday 8th July special guests for Pearl Jam, and Cat Power, White Reaper and Simon Townshead will hit the stage with them.

Pearl Jam’s BST Hyde Park shows are UK exclusives across the two consecutive nights and were originally scheduled for 2020, then pushed back to 2021 for obvious reasons before once again rescheduled for this year. The original 2020 show sold out.

Stereophonics will no doubt thrill fans with their brand new music. They are back with their 12th album, brilliantly titled ‘Oochya!’, set for release on 4th March.

Back when it was first announced in September, frontman Kelly Jones said the record was originally meant to be a ‘Greatest Hits’ to commemorate the band’s 25 years together, but they found so much unreleased music, they decided to make something new for fans.

Currently, singles Do Ya Feel My Love?, Hanging On Your Hinges and Forever, are out now, and speaking about the upcoming record, Kelly said: “The whole album is melodic. You put it on and it’s one of those albums you don’t really want to turn off because it keeps going onto different styles and the songs hold your attention. It shows a lot of styles of the band.”

It’ll be a summer of festivals for the band, who are also headlining Y Not Festival in Derbyshire on Thursday 29th July.

Alongside other previously announced headline acts such as The Courteeners and Blossoms, The Kooks also join the top of the prestigious line-up too.

They’ll hit the stage with Jake Bugg, Amy Macdonald, The Hunna, Kelis and Lucy Spraggan.
