The band are one of several being asked to get back together.

It comes after the sad passing of Andy Ross, who was the first person to sign Blur to a record label.

He was the co-founder of Food Records, and he signed the band back in 2000.

Fellow label mates Jesus Jones have called on Blur to perform in his memory.

They wrote: “We’re heartbroken at the loss of Andy Ross, one half of the mighty Food Records.

“Without him, we’d have never been able to do what we did. We’ll always be grateful, and we’ll always miss him. Goodbye boss”

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree wrote: "Really sad to learn of the passing of my friend and mentor Andy Ross. He was one of the good ones – generous, warm, and kind.”

Jesus Jones have asked Blur to get the band back together.

They wrote: “Hey [Blur], what do you say we get Food back together, and do something for Andy? Just a thought x.”

They also invited other labelmates, including Dubstar, The Supernaturals and Crazyhead.

A follow up tweet also invited Idlewild, and any other artists from the label.

Blur's last tour was back in 2015 for 'The Magic Whip' album.

They did play a show in 2019 in Damon's hometown of Leytonstone, but there has been no news since.

Albarn has recently released his second solo album, 'The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows'.

However, he has been teasing a possible reunion.

The frontman was asked if this was the end for Blur, and he said: “Not at all."

“I am just about to have a conversation with people about Blur and I would love to sing all those songs again. I miss the songs. I miss playing with Blur."

Blur's lead guitarist Graham Coxon also said he'd be happy to reunite "if the time was right."

There's still hope yet!
