To mark the fact that it will have been two decades since The Coral unleashed their self-titled debut LP, the Merseyside band will be playing the record in full over twelve UK-wide dates in March next year.

It will be the group’s first headline tour in over three years, and will include two homecoming shows at Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory. Not only that, but they will also be celebrating the Mercury and Brit-nominated record’s birthday by reissuing it, complete with a couple of never-before-heard-tracks.

Remastered from the original mixes, the reissue will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats from Friday 4th March 2022. As well as featuring classics such as Dreaming Of You, it will also include two songs that have not yet been released: She’s The Girl For Me and Tumble Graves. These were produced by Lightning Seeds legend Ian Broudie, but they never made it onto the record. The rarities will appear on the bonus disc on all-formats, alongside a complete singles B-sides collection and the band’s pre-album EP, The Oldest Path.

The Coral have also marked their 2022 tour announcement with the release of the 2001 Shadows Fall EP in remastered, digital formats.

This year the band returned with a critically-acclaimed album, Coral Island, which reached number two in the UK charts.

During next year’s 20th Anniversary UK Tour dates, The Coral will play their debut record’s 11 tracks in order, and will then pick some other favourites from their back catalogue. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 10th September at 9am via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
