A host of celebrities joined Foo Fighters to celebrate after their show, after Dave Grohl opened his own pub backstage.

It followed their hugely popular shows at the London Stadium, and Grohl and bandmates decided to convert a dressing room into a pub of their very own.

Amongst those attending were Sir Paul McCartney and Bono from U2, and they all gathered to "drink the bar dry" until the small hours of the morning.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: “Dave knows how to party and loves a drink-up. He opened his own pub for his VIPs – and they stayed up until 6am going at it.

“They drank the bar dry after their last show and it was light by the time everyone started getting cars home.”

The friendship comes as no surprise, after Sir Paul previously drummed on a Foo Fighters track.

Grohl also previously said: “If it weren’t for The Beatles, I would not be a musician. It’s as simple as that."

He explained to PBS: “I was like, ‘Hey man, you want to play drums on a new song on our record?’ And he texted back, he was like, ‘You’ve always got crazy ideas!’”

The crazy idea paid off, and you can hear Sir Paul hitting the drums on the track Sunday Morning.
