Fans were delighted to see Bruce Springsteen return with his E Street Band for the first of two performances at Hyde Park.

The Boss turned the air blue as he remarked about being cut off as he neared the end of his set.

He recalled being cut off by organisers more than a decade ago.

He exceeded his time limit alongside Sir Paul McCartney back in 2012, causing the plug to be pulled in the same way as Lana Del Rey at Glastonbury.

This time, Springsteen turned to his colleague Steven Van Zandt and said: "I'm telling you, if we don't go, they're going to pull the plug on us again. F*** 'em! London is there anyone alive out there tonight? Cos if you're alive, then I'm alive. And that's what we came here for!"

Organisers Live Nation said in a statement at the time: "The curfew is laid down by the authorities in the interest of the public's health and safety. Road closures around Hard Park are put in place at specific times to make sure everyone can exit the area safely."

He played a whopping three hour set for fans on Thursday.

Songs included 'Letter To You', 'Ghosts', 'The Promised Land', 'Kitty’s Back' and 'My Hometown'.

He also played 'Dancing in the Dark' and 'Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out'.

Bruce also dedicated 'Last Man Standing' and 'Backstreets' to his late bandmate George Theiss, who died in 2018 at the age of 68.

He said: "Be good to yourself and those around you!

He is set to play again in London tomorrow night, Saturday July 8th.
