The 26-year-old has revealed he hasn’t been “very well”.

Lewis Capaldi has updated fans on his health condition during his battle with vertigo.

“I've not been very well. I've got vertigo”, the Scottish singer-songwriter told the Mail Online. “So I'm spinning but I'm smiling.

“I'm not dying so it's good. I did think I was for a couple of days but luckily I'm here.

“I'm alive and living”, he added.

This news comes less than two weeks before Capaldi will be releasing a behind-the-scenes Netflix documentary on 5th April, 2023.

How I’m Feeling Now will look at the pressure and anxiety he experienced after the release of his 2019 debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.

In the trailer, the Before You Go singer reveals: “I think I’ve never been more insecure in my life than I am now. And I think that’s got worse the more successful I’ve got.

“You get your whole life to write your first album, and a year or six months to write your second. The clock’s ticking.”

Sam Bridger, head of music film at Pulse Films, said: “This started out as a film about the process of creating the ‘difficult second album’ but ended up being an astonishingly unguarded portrait of the pressures of fame on young shoulders, exploring one of the great conversations of our age – mental health.”

Capaldi announced the project on Instagram with a video of him dressing up as characters from the most popular Netflix shows, including Bridgerton, Squid Game and Wednesday.

He captioned the post: “[I’m] pretty terrified for everyone to see this if I’m quite honest, but I’m so so proud of it.”

According to the NHS, vertigo is the feeling that you, or the environment around you, is moving or spinning. A vertigo attack can last anywhere from a few seconds to hours. Severe vertigo can last for days or even months. Vertigo usually gets better without treatment, but you should see a GP if it will not go away or it keeps coming back.

Get well soon Lewis!
