We thought the days of pencil-thin eyebrows were gone, but now everyone is shaving them off instead.

A group of people on TikTok are shaving off their eyebrows, and some of the results are surprisingly good.

There have been many trends on TikTok, but this is a bold one.

It starts with some people cutting part of their eyebrows off, but some others are fully shaving them both off.

Apparently taking off the end of the brow means it will "lift" your face.

Are you tempted?

Brow Expert Fides Baldesberger is the CEO of Rubis Tweezers.

He says it’s safe to experiment.

She says: "Generally speaking, it is safe to shave your eyebrows as long as you do it with care and use the right tools and products, cleaning them properly.

"Before shaving you really should consider why you would shave your brow entirely.

"It’ll definitely change your entire look, so it’s not something to take lightly. They will of course grow back, but it will take time.’

If the worst happens, how long will they take to grow back?

It apparently varies from person to person, but most people can expect to see stubble within a couple of days.

However, maybe don't try this shortly before a special event.

It may take up to six weeks until you see your brows fully back to life.

Fides adds: "Another thing to note is the area of skin underneath the brow is more sensitive than other areas we usually shave, since it’s thinner and lies directly on the brow bone.

"This means there’s an increased risk of nicks, cuts, and bleeding. The eyebrow is also a small area, shaving there is harder so you will need to be precise.

"If you’re worried about cuts you can always opt for tweezing or waxing, however repeatedly doing either of these on the same area can lead to hair growing back slower and less frequently."

One thing to be aware of is that your eyebrows are there to protect your eyes from dust, debris, sweat and more.

By shaving them off, you're more likely to get things in your eyes.

Ouch.

It seems Whoopi Goldberg is a trendsetter, after her ex-husband never realised she doesn't have eyebrows.
