Pet pancakes: an easy recipe for cats and dogs to enjoy

Your four-legged friend doesn't have to miss out on the pancake fun.

These recipes are suitable for cats and dogs, who might not be able to enjoy your traditional recipe.

Chocolate chips are a huge no-no for our canine friends.

Felix can get in on the fun with a handy no-bake recipe which will be even easier.

Cats will be purring over these pancakes, with a recipe approved by the Blue Cross.

This recipe is perfect as a treat for Tiddles.

You need:

  • 1 tin of tuna in water with no salt added

  • 1/2 cup finely diced cooked chicken

  • 1/2 cup pure sweet potato puree – make sure this is just sweet potato and doesn’t contain any sweeteners

To make the pancakes: open the tin of tuna and drain, emptying it into a mixing bowl.

Mash it up into bits, and add the diced chicken.

Next, add the sweet potato.

Mix it until it binds together, and shape into pancake rounds.

That's it!

If you have any leftover, it can be refrigerated for two days.

Alternatively, you can freeze it for up to three months.

For your canine friends, you can fry them up a pancake to enjoy.

The folks at Tails.com shared a pancake recipe for pups.

You need two medium bananas, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of coconut flour and a little coconut oil.

First, mash the banana and whisk the eggs.

Mix in the coconut flour.

Next, heat the coconut oil in the pan.

Pour the batter and fry on each side for 30 seconds.
