Inspiring news from the USA as a man builds a charming treehouse in his garden, puts it on Airbnb and earns enough to quit his job and retire!
Say hello to Will Sutherland, whose labour of love turned into a marvellous second income as he self built a quaint treehouse retreat for couples in his wooded garden in Virginia.
“I carried up every piece of wood, every piece of floor, the roof trusses, the floor trusses, and the big quad beam. I also sourced a bunch of cedar logs from a friend who was having a house built.” His wife helped him with interior decoration and now the gorgeous treehouse and the converted school bus, also on their property, are booked all year round and the couple make enough from those for them both to quit their day jobs and concentrate on hosting.

Heart warming, maybe even heart honking news from the USA and a great broken widowed goose who’s had her life turned around by internet dating ;)
Say hello to Blossom who lived happily for many years with her life partner Bud in the pond at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown Iowa, but when Bud passed last August, Blossom became terribly depressed.
General manager Dorie Tammen noticed she would spend hours staring at her reflection in shiny gravestones and realised this goose needed love back in her life. So she took to Facebook with an ad that read “lovely widowed goose” that was “youthful, adventurous, and lively,” looking for “a life partner for companionship and occasional shenanigans.”
To her delight she got a reply on behalf of a widower goose who was going through similar separation blues. They set up a Valentines Day date at the pond and the two geese hit it off and are happy as, well, two geese in a cemetery pond!
