Lightly toasted or almost incinerated? There are plenty of ways to enjoy toast, but now, a new test has discovered what personality traits you might have depending on which breakfast slice you enjoy.
Ahead of National Toast Day, which takes place on Thursday 23rd February, psychologist and This Morning regular Emma Kenny has unveiled her toast test to see what your preferred level of toastiness says about you.
Creating a 16-point personality test, with one being the least toasted and 16 being essentially burnt, Emma pieced together what your breakfast preferences might indicate.
As reported in The Sun, those who only enjoy their toast for mere seconds in the toaster (1-3) are reliable, passionate and methodical, never going along with the crowd, independent minded and good at negotiating.
Those who prefer a light but noticeable singe to their bread (4) are people pleasers who love to look after other people and those closest to them.
A cripsier piece of toast (5-6) might indicate you're hospitable and popular with friends, while potentially hard-nosed and a perfectionist with sharp communication skills.
If you like some serious colour to your toast (7-10), you’re the peacekeeper of your friends and family with a forgiving nature, while also a creature of habit. You’re ambitious and optimistic, with a glass-half-full mentality.
Getting into the seriously golden toast slices (11-12), those who like their toast with more crunch are adventurous but struggle with patience, while also honest, with a very naughty side.
Finally, those who have their toast so dark it’s effectively burnt (13-16) are eccentric, with a unique sense of style, but also hard-working and a little self-critical.
If you enjoy your toast almost-to-fully-black, you are very no-nonsense and self-reliant, while also confrontational, with a belief that everything happens for a reason.
So what does your toast say about you?
