It's good to hear that even A-listers don't have Hollywood movie-esque relationships. Orlando Bloom has opened up about his life with Katy Perry and how they're in 'two very different pools'.

The actor can be seen on the cover of the latest issue of Flaunt Magazine and has spoken candidly about his 'baby mama and life partner' Perry.

Bloom explained: "We're in two very different pools. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands.

"Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won't lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we're both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there's definitely never a dull moment."

The publication posted: "For his new unscripted show with @Peacock, Orlando Bloom has learned to free dive up to 102 feet, has parachuted, and tackled the dangerous hobby of wingsuit flying. His tests against his own sanity are inspired by his experience against the pandemic, evaluating what he could both create and discover from the emotions he experienced.

"Still in the process of a title, Bloom reflects on the confrontation with the face of fear on the upcoming series. 'I kind of felt the fear all around me, this palpable sense of fear in everyone, that was also being proclaimed through social media and over the news. I wanted to explore what it means to be on the edge of your life and basically confronting fear, because I was feeling this fear around me and not wanting to buy into that'.”

The couple first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016, but then bumped into each other at US burger chain during an episode of American Idol.

Perry previously said: "I met my boyfriend over In-N-Out. We were at the Golden Globes and we weren't together. So I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Outs and all of a sudden I see my boyfriend's hand — he wasn't even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, 'Hey that's my burger!'"

Speaking about their marriage proposal in 2019, Perry told Jimmy Kimmel Live!: "It was very sweet. It was Valentine's Day… we went to dinner and I thought we were going to go see some art after dinner but we pulled up to a helicopter."

She continued: "We landed on a rooftop [in Los Angeles] — my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well."

The couple share a daughter, Daisy Dove, who they welcomed in August 2020.
