A new musical drama series is on its way, starring Sam Claflin from Peaky Blinders and The Girlfriend Experience’s Riley Keough.

Daisy Jones & The Six is set to land on Prime Video next month, based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's novel of the same name.

The narrative focuses on Claflin and Keough as Billy Dunne and Daisy Jones, the two leads of a fictional 1970s rock band. The story takes us from their beginnings in the LA music scene, to becoming one of the most iconic bands in history, and looks at the circumstances that caused them to break up at the height of their fame.

The series also features Camila Morrone as Billy's wife Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, and Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rojas. The Mandalorian’s Timothy Olyphant also appears as Rod Reyes.

To get us excited about the show, the first full-length trailer has now been released. In it, we see the band bickering in the studio. “Do you guys want to record something, or fight more? I’m fine either way,” Keough’s character says to the group.

Later in the trailer, we see Billy go from arguing with Daisy to flirting with her, as the band progress into playing massive arenas. We also witness how this chemistry affects his wife.

"It's what people want to see, it's an act," Billy tries to explain.

The new series features 24 original songs, recorded by the cast. Check out the trailer here:

Sam Claflin has previously portrayed moustachioed politician Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinders, as well as playing Finnick Odair in the last two Hunger Games movies. He also appeared in the first Enola Holmes movie.

Daisy Jones & the Six lands on Prime Video on 3rd March, with episodes then being released weekly on Fridays.
