Game changing tech news from India who have just discovered a previously unknown massive stash of Lithium, the most in demand stuff on planet earth right now.

Say ‘namaste’ to the northern indian territories of Jammu and Kashmir, where vast reserves of Lithium have catapulted India  - the fastest growing economy in the world - to world number 2 in suppliers of the one thing that electric car batteries currently need, before the next generation of non lithium batteries kicks in.

The stash is so massive, it’s the equivalent of Australia, China, Portugal, Zimbabwe, the USA, and Argentina combined!

Lithium is used not just in car batteries, but the battery for the phone or computer you might be listening to or reading this on. The hugely increased supply will mean battery prices will come down, making them more affordable for places like India who have huge problems with air quality.

Great news for DIY buffs that new legislation is being passed in the USA to give people the right to repair their stuff!

A bill was just passed in Colorado to make it law that companies that make tractors and other farm equipment have to make parts, manuals, instructions and specialist tools available for people to be able to fix their stuff at home.

Companies have often made home fixing impossible because servicing or fixing at source is so lucrative, but waiting times can mean farmers unfairly losing hundreds of thousands at key harvest times while they have to wait. The movement has been growing all millennium and it’s not just farm machinery, smartphones and even home appliances will be next. Diagnostics and repair at home will be the next big thing and it’s about time! I’m assuming this stuff will be online and accessible by us too so this will hopefully be a worldwide watershed moment!
