If you’re a fan of Succession (and we’re all fans of Succession, aren’t we?), you’ll be excited to learn that season four of the family drama finally has a release date.

Yes, the Roy family is returning for a fourth instalment, and to get us even more excited than we already are, a new trailer has just dropped.

The Sky/HBO dark comedy-drama is set for release on 26th March, and will follow on from the explosive conclusion to season three, whereby Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) gave a heads-up to the family patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) about his kids’ plot against him. This gave Logan the upper hand in his attempt to sanction the sale of Waystar Royco to Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård),. It also left Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Kendall (Jeremy Strong) in a perilous position.

The new teaser opens with the trio of siblings in negotiations as to whether to give their old man a phone call. Shiv asks: “Well is he apologising?”. Kendall adds: “I mean, did he ask?”

The new clip also shows Tom’s attempts to cement his relationship with Logan, after moving over to the dark side. Asking what would happen if he and Shiv were to split up. “We’ll always be good, right?” he enquires.

Logan’s response, “If we’re good, we’re good,” was disappointingly non-committal, and Tom’s reply of, “Okay, well, that’s heartening. I’m heartened by that” was very unconvincing.

Later in the trailer, Shiv says: “We wanted to do something together. This is not to get back at dad. But if it hurts him, it doesn’t bother me.” Gerri (J. Smith-Cameron) tells the dissenting kids: “You cannot win. Your dad will wash you away.”

We also see presidential wannabe, and oldest sibling, Conor (Alan Ruck) seemingly marrying his partner Willa Ferreyra (Justine Lupe).

Season four will run for ten episodes, and we cannot wait to see how the drama unfolds.

Succession season 4 will premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW on 26th March.
