The Apprentice saw another candidate fired by Lord Sugar, and there was no mistaking where they went wrong.

*Spoilers ahead if you’ve not caught up with episode four!*

This week, both teams were tasked with a scavenger hunt around Brighton to buy local items with the least amount of money.

The candidates had to secure and negotiate nine items synonymous to the area, with the team that secured the most items at the lowest prices winning the entire challenge.

Densiha Kaur Bharj was chosen to be Project Manager by Lord Sugar, but after one half of the team failed to make any phone calls to help with their hunt, and the other half not securing the right asparagus, it meant Denisha’s team failed to secure the right amount of items to win, and as PM, she was held responsible by the business titan.

Speaking exclusively to virginradio.co.uk after being evicted, the Leicester businesswoman explained there was one thing she would’ve done differently in what would become her final chance to impress Lord Sugar.

On what she would’ve changed in week four’s strategy, Denisha shared: “I definitely would have said to [the team], ‘please make sure you use the phone. Please make sure you use the phone.’ I didn't think I needed to say that.

“I had no idea they were kind of just up and down the town centre looking to go into different shops. If I'd done it, if I could do it differently, I'd have given probably more of a plan and guidance and probably even locate some of the shops that they should definitely want to go to and get the item instead of just leaving them to it really.”

Before coming onto the show, Denisha was actually planning on putting herself up for PM for the scavenger hunt task, as she feels it aligns with her business practice.

Denisha continued: “I was looking forward to this task. I think before I came on the show, I was trying to work out what task I put myself up for as PM. And this is the one that I was actually really hoping for just because I deal with supplier negotiations, I'm really good at that.”

“It was a task that I would have definitely taken on as a PM but you know, I think having Lord Sugar's eyes on you for sure, you wanted to really impress him. I definitely feel like I didn't get a chance to showcase all of my skills and the process.”

Denisha isn’t letting her firing hinder her enjoyment of the process, as the long-term Apprentice fan is walking away with only positive memories.

“It's been an amazing opportunity and amazing experience,” she said. “I watched the show for years, and have been a fan of the show for years. So just to get to the point where you met Lord Sugar has been amazing. I did really go on it, and I applied for it because I really wanted to win the investment but everything happens for a reason.”

The Apprentice continues on Thursday nights at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
