Gordon Ramsay is back with a brand-new cooking competition, Next Level Chef.

Billed as the toughest cooking show around, Next Level Chef is based on a US version which aired early last year with Ramsay at the helm.

Joining him for the UK version of the show will be with professional chefs Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, who will be helping him find the ultimate Next Level Chef.

What is it about?

Next Level Chef is a cooking competition with a twist and is set in a studio made up of three different kitchens stacked on top of each other nearly 50ft high.

Each floor is designed to test the contestants’ culinary skills, creativity and flare as they progress through the levels.

The bottom floor contains only a limited collection of low-quality equipment, the middle is a standard commercial kitchen and the top is equipped with a wide range of modern cooking utensils and high quality stuff.

There will be 12 chefs competing, who are divided into three teams each mentored by the three professional chefs- Gordan, Nyesha and Arrington.

In the end, only one can be crowned the ultimate Next Level Chef, winning the £100,000 cash prize and a year’s mentorship under the three chefs.

When is it on?

Next Level Chef begins on Wednesday 11th January at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with a new episode every week.

There will be eight episodes in total.
