TV favourite Sue Perkins has opened up about her recent ADHD diagnosis. The former Great British Bake Off presenter shared that she had the condition while commenting on musician Tom Grey's post.
The Gomez star told followers: "I'm creeping towards an ADHD diagnosis. Strongly advised to do it to help me but more likely help people who have relationships with me.
"Never realised before how object permanence is such a problem for me. Staying in touch rarely if ever occurs to me. I can only apologise."
Comedian Sue commented: "I have fully crept. Once I had the diagnosis, suddenly everything made sense – to me and to those who love me."
Former Love Island star Dr Alex George shared his experience with ADHD last year and wrote in a post: "This isn’t an easy one to write. I am sat on my bed and I’m not 100% sure where to start.
"I have suspected for most of my teenage and adult life that I’m not the same as a lot of the others around me.
"I struggled when others did not, and thrived where others found challenge. I have tried to hide and also conform for most of my life. Why? My fear has always been that I don’t want to be labelled and judged."
He continued: "The tipping point for me to finally see someone was my Stompcast conversation with Toddla T, who gave me the strength to stop burying my head in the sand and look for some answers.
"Over the last few months I have been undergoing assessment for, and have now been ‘diagnosed’ with, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder."
The NHS describes ADHD as 'a condition that affects people's behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse'.
Perkins recently hosted her own Netflix show Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal in South America and got shot twice.

"Rather than spending my time in the UK having a midlife crisis, I go on quite an extreme journey, most of which I can’t talk about at teatime on the BBC. Some of the things I can talk about: all night clubbing, white water rafting, various extreme sports, adrenaline highs, I got shot twice — admittedly with protection," Perkins said.
"This guy who makes bulletproof suits and shirts says ‘Come to my warehouse, I’ll shoot you!’ And that’s an interesting half hour."
Here's Sue speaking to our Chris about her ‘dangerous and weird' Netflix series.
