Last year the BBC confirmed Race Across The World would be back for series three after taking a two-year hiatus.

It looks like we’ll be getting a new series of the competition show in 2023 after the broadcaster posted a teaser clip of what is coming to the channel this year, featuring a glimpse of Race Across The World.

So, here is everything we know about Race Across The World season three (so far).

What is it about?

The third series of Race Across The World promises to be the most extreme to date and will see more teams of two race around the globe without any help from flying or technology and with a strict cash limit.

This year will see best friends Cathie and Tricia, brothers Marc and Michael, husband and wife Zainib and Mobeen and two father and daughter duos Kevin and Claudia and Ladi and Monique compete for the cash prize of £20,000.

The couples will start at the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Vancouver, Canada and will have to cross 16,000 kilometres and six time zones to reach St John’s Newfoundland- which is North America’s most easterly city.

When does it start?

Series two of Race Across The World premiered just before lockdown in March 2020, so it has been two years since we’ve been treated to a new season.

As previously mentioned, the BBC confirmed the show would be back for a third series in September last year and, according to a short teaser clip, it looks like we’ll be getting it in 2023.

The exact date has now been confirmed as Wednesday 22nd March at 9pm, on BBC One and iPlayer.

There have also been rumours of a fourth season and plans in motion for a Race Across the World: Celebrity edition, but no official announcement has been made just yet.

Is there a trailer?
