Former Pointless host Richard Osman has confirmed he tied the knot with fiancee Ingrid Oliver on Saturday (3rd December).

The telly presenter shared the wonderful news with fans via Twitter, with a loved-up photo of the newlyweds leaving their ceremony.

In the beaming photo, Richard is walking hand-in-hand with his new wife, and captioned the snap: “The most magical, joyful day on Saturday with my beautiful wife @ingridoliver100.

"Surrounded by wonderful friends and family, a day full of love and laughter. We're so, so happy.”

Many of the couple’s showbiz friends made sure to send their congrats, including Dawn French, who replied: “MASSIVE CONGRATS!!!!.”

Gary Lineker wrote: “Many congratulations,” while Sue Perkins sent her love with a simple heart emoji.

Richard first met Ingrid when she appeared on his quiz show, House of Games. After being friends for a little while, their romance reportedly started in lockdown, according to the Evening Standard.

Ingried is best known for playing Petronella Osgood in Doctor Who but has also starred in The Hustle, Silent Witness and The Watch.

Speaking about how their relationship came to be, Richard previously told Hello! Magazine: “Ingrid came on House of Games. I knew who she was through social media. We'd never met – I had never met her. I had a little twinkle in my eye, I'll admit that.”

The two then had to navigate dating during lockdown, and the author continued: "Our first date is completely on camera. After filming, I was thinking, 'How can I ask her for a drink, this is difficult.'”

Luckily for Richard, a fellow House of Games guest suggested they all go out for a drink, and the rest is history.

He added: “So we all met up and we're getting married in a few weeks! Passed numbers across, went on a date and we've been together ever since."

Big congrats to the happy couple!
