Channel 5 have announced that their series Our Yorkshire Farm has been cancelled following Amanda Owen’s split from husband Clive and amid the broadcaster’s shake-up.

After the couple announced their split, speculations about the future of the series started to circulate, but it has now been confirmed the show will be coming to an end.

Our Yorkshire Farm followed Amanda and Clive and their nine children and their daily lives on the farm and attracted quite a loyal fanbase.

However, not all is lost as the broadcaster has announced a spin-off of the show that will focus on Clive and his eldest son Reuben.

The show will be titled Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive and will follow the pair as they go beyond their beloved farm and embark on a new digging venture together.

The father and son will also be joined by Reuben’s girlfriend Sarah and best mate Tom, and the show is set to premiere on Channel 5 on Tuesday 6th December at 9pm.

It also sounds like fans will be seeing Amanda Owen again, as the broadcaster teased there will also be “future Owen Family projects” on the horizon.

Amanda and Clive announced their split in a joint statement posted to Instagram earlier this year.

The statement read: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

“This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family. Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.”

Amanda also recently opened up about how life has changed since the split and spoke to Christine Lampard on the ITV show Lorraine about how “tough” it has been.

She said: “It’s really tough, and it’s a really difficult aspect of it to get across- but when you do reality [TV], it has to be just that.”

Amanda added: “It covers the ups and downs and that could be on any level so, you know, life carries on. On the farm there’s a whole raff of things to do, nine children, a whole heap of animals; we’re just working away the same as before.

“At the end of the day, our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going.”
