Strictly Come Dancing star Helen Skelton is certainly giving everything she’s got in rehearsals.
The Countryside host is paired up with Gorka Marquez for the BBC dancing competition, and impressed judges and fans with her American Smooth routine during Saturday's (24th September) first live show, scoring a commendable 26.
The 15 stars will be battling it out in the ballroom once more this weekend as the first round of eliminations begin, and Helen isn’t taking the first public vote lightly.
She took to Instagram Stories to update fans on how her practice routines were going, and shared a photo of her battered and bruised feet moments after taking off her dancing shoes.
Helen snapped her tired feet, creased with shoe marks and cuts from hours of waltzing around the dance floor. She wrote on the photo: “And the aim of the game is to be sexy…not with these trotters. #NoPainNoGain.”
Ouch!
The telly star reiterated how her feet were on “fire” during the intense rehearsals, but this time with a smiling selfie shared to her main grid, which she admitted she was “loving every second of this journey.”
Helen and Gorka are busy prepping their next dance this weekend, which will be a Cha Cha to Lady Gaga’s Rain On Me.
Strictly announced what’s in store for Saturday’s episode on their Twitter page, with all couples busting a move to some classic tunes.
Among some of the tracks included this week will be Adele’s Rumour Has It, Beyonce’s Love on Top and Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran.
It comes after Strictly announced dates for their live UK arena tour in 2023. Former professional dancer and It Takes Two’s Janette Manrara will be returning to host the shows, which will take place across the country in January and February next year.
Our favourite judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke will also be joining to rank many of the celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday 1st October at 6:30pm on BBC One.
