Strictly presenter Tess Daly announces 'exciting' new project

With Strictly Come Dancing gearing up for series 20, one of its hosts, Tess Daly, has revealed that she is also working on a new project.

This week, Strictly announced which professional dancers will be back for its 20th series later this year, and it is expected that Tess will return to co-host the hit BBC show alongside Claudia Winkleman. The presenter has also given an announcement of her own though, as she revealed that she is working on a new book, which will be focused on health and well-being.

The TV presenter took to Instagram to tell her followers the news. “Well this is an exciting day because I’m happy to announce I’m working on a book!” she wrote.

The post continued: “Sometimes our lives can get so busy we forget to invest in ourselves and spend time focusing on our own health and well-being, so I wanted to channel that into my new book and share the simple steps I’ve learnt throughout the years that can have such a positive effect on how we feel!”

Tess has previously released two novels and a parenting diary. Regarding this new project, she told her 802,000 Instagram followers: “Stay tuned for more exciting news.”

Friends and fans were quick to leave positive comments when reading the news. Her co-presenter Claudia Winkleman wrote: “Brilliant girl.” 

Writer, activist, and television presenter Katie Piper described the news as “brilliant,” while presenter and Big Brother winner Brian Dowling said it was “AMAZING.”

One fan wrote: “Hurry up and finish it please. You radiate all the good stuff so can’t wait to hoover your hints & tips up.”
