The pair took to social media to show what they do backstage before performing on the Strictly Live Tour.

After their record-breaking win on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, Rose and Giovanni are currently touring with Strictly Live around the country.

On Sunday night, they danced the Argentine tango, which requires a very serious face and smouldering eyes.

To prepare themselves and get into the character of the dance, Giovanni shared a clip of himself and Rose ‘warming up’ before they took to the floor.

In the video shared to the dancer’s Instagram stories, Giovanni is standing with Rose behind him as they practice looking serious. They frown, twitch their mouths, and make hilarious faces. After giving each other one final death stare look, Rose silently saunters off camera.

Giovanni captioned the video ‘warm up’ and tagged his partner.

The pair then went on to wow audiences and win the live show, which took place in Glasgow, with their Argentine Tango.

Rose was the first deaf person to compete in and win Strictly Come Dancing, and her influence on bringing more awareness to BSL and the deaf community has been incredible.

Because of her, the Strictly Live Tour now has a BSL interpreter at every venue.

Last month, Rose also took to her own social media pages to share a video of herself and fellow Strictly Tour stars calling for Government to make British Sign Language legally recognised as a language in the UK.

The video racked up 447,000 views and may have had some influence.

A day later (27 January), the Government backed a private member’s bill to make BSL a legally recognised language, meaning public bodies have to promote the language and ensure interpreters are available for certain services and events.

The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour comes to an end on 13 February in the O2 Arena London.
