The beloved Halloween franchise will continue later this year, and now slasher fans have their first look at iconic character Laurie Strode.
Jamie Lee Curtis, who has starred as Laurie in the Halloween films since 1978, shared a photo while on the set of the next sequel - Halloween Ends.
Cameras have started rolling on the final film in the latest Halloween trilogy, only a few months after the last sequel, Halloween Kills, came out in cinemas.
In a photo posted to her Instagram page, which she captioned: ‘Old dog, new tricks’, Jamie is in full Laurie mode, and is instantly recognisable as Michael Myers' nemesis with her blonde hair and glasses.
Jamie continued sharing behind-the-scenes pictures on her social media, and added one alongside co-stars Kyle Richards and Andi Matichak.
The trio appear to be sitting at a bar in the snap, and Jamie wrote: “Together till the end! Lindsey - Laurie - Allyson. 10/14/2022."
Andi is a relatively new star in the franchise, playing Laurie’s granddaughter Allyson, while Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle is reprising her role from the very first Halloween film, having played Lindsey Wallace at the age of 9.
Halloween Ends is set to be the final film in this latest Halloween trilogy series, with the 2018 revival film considered a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original Halloween, meaning it ignores the 11 sequels in between.
‘Ends’ will be set four years after the event of Halloween Kills, and will reportedly address the coronavirus pandemic in some way. David Gordon Green, who directed the last 2 movies, will also return.
Meanwhile, the real man behind the Michael Myers mask will get to show his face again in the upcoming movie.
Nick Castle recently confirmed he will have a cameo in Halloween Ends, having first played the menacing character back in 1978.
He had cameos in both 2018’s Halloween and the following sequel Halloween Kills, but his small moment in the last film ended up being cut.
He recently clarified the rumours he would return to the franchise as Michael himself, and tweeted: “The talented James Jude Courtney will once again play MM. I’ll have a fun cameo but let’s give credit where credit is due.”
Halloween ends is scheduled for release on 14th October.
