Hozier joins TikTok and melts hearts with soothing vocals

Ah. Just what we need after a hectic week. Make that year. The settling sounds of singer Hozier humming an old whiskey ditty on none other than TikTok. The musician has just joined the social media site and racked up 353k followers in less than 24 hours - and counting. 

Singing The Humours of Whiskey song, fans commented in their thousands as he casually sits back in his armchair.

Fans wrote: “I remember you performing this on your live stream show right when the pandemic started and it was so soothing in a time of so much worry."

Another added: "It’s been a really difficult few months but listening to this really warmed my heart. Feel like maybe things might actually be okay.”

The Irish singer-songwriter simply wrote in his bio: "New album #WastelandBaby out now!"

His 2013 anthem Take Me To Church was No1 in 12 countries. Of his hit song, he previously said: “It was amazing. I didn’t think it would be a mainstream pop record.”

The musician has always said he's made the music he wanted to 'rather than simply chasing sales'.
