Manic Street Preachers have expressed that the band have "nothing to do with" the new biopic 4Real.
Richey Edwards has been missing since 1995 and his life will be the subject of the new film 4Real directed by Lindy Heymann.
The band's spokeswoman has exclusively told NME that they will not be involved with the biopic, stating “The band have nothing to do with this film, and nothing to say about it.”
Heymann is known to have worked with Paul McCartney and The Specials.
The biopic has the backing of Creative England and is named after an event in 1991 when Richey Edwards carved 4Real into his arm after being asked how genuine the Manics' music was.
Filming for the biopic is due to start next year.
