People respond differently to death, but one man's reaction to his wife passing away has captured the attention of the nation.
Russell Davison's wife Wendy, his childhood sweetheart, passed away from cervical cancer at the age of 50 on April 21.
Davison's story has gone viral because he remained beside her body after placing her in her coffin - which they preferred to call a 'cocoon' - for six days after she died, instead of calling the undertakers.
In an interview with Jamie East, Davison told listeners that the cancer diagnosis had shocked them, but Wendy had remained unafraid of death, and they were unafraid of talking about it.
He explained that he had treated her death in accordance with the couples' spiritual beliefs, "creating a ritual" as they went along and holding a vigil for her.
Davison told Jamie they're trying to use the attention to promote natural health
