CeeLo Green reveals his exploding phone was a publicity stunt

CeeLo Green has revealed that his exploding mobile phone video was in fact a publicity stunt.

The video showed him using the phone in what appeared to be CCTV footage, before exploding and knocking him to the ground, prompting concern from fans.

However, he apologised in a Facebook Live video, confirming that he is "alive and well," on Saturday. 

He said: "Truthfully, I'm really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today.

“What you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I'm doing called ‘Gnarly Davidson'."
