Fool Me Once writer Harlan Coben has teased more about his next Netflix show, Missing You.

Speaking about his latest novel, Think Twice, on Ryan Tubridy’s mid-mornings Virgin Radio show, the thriller author also gushed about working with his recent Netflix shows’ amazing casts.

Coben’s next Netflix drama, Missing You, recently added Cold Feet star James Nesbitt, Top Boy’s Ashley Walters and Busted’s Matt Jay-Willis to its already star-filled cast.

Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Samantha Spiro, Lisa Faulkner and Mary Malone have all also been announced for the drama, which will centre around the story of detective whose fiancé disappeared many years ago.

When Kat Donovan’s old partner Josh reappears on a dating app 11 years after his disappearance, the DI will find herself drawn back not only to investigate his disappearance but also her father’s murder as her investigation uncovers long-buried secrets from her past.

“We have such fun making these shows,” Coben reflected, thinking back to his time working with actors including Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley on Fool Me Once as well as his new drama’s current cast. “And the British [audience] seem to really love them, and so we’re thrilled.”

On the topic of Missing You, Coben revealed the show is filming “right now” with the news cast just having joined the production. “That’ll be the next one that comes out.”

After Missing You, Coben’s next Netflix drama will be Run Away. The synopsis for that series reads: “Simon had the perfect life: loving wife and kids, great job, beautiful home. But then his eldest daughter Paige ran away and everything fell apart. So now when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home.

“But it turns out she’s not alone and an argument escalates into shocking violence that will shatter Simon’s life all over again. His search for his daughter will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.”

Think Twice by Harlan Coben is out now.
