Roll up, roll up! It’s almost time for the BAFTA TV Awards 2024.

The best television shows of the last year are about to be crowned during a night of celebration, but what shows and stars are nominated this year, and how can you watch the main event?

Ahead of bringing you all the action from the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet, has all the details…

When are the BAFTA TV Awards 2024?

The BAFTA TV Awards 2024 with P&O Cruises are taking place on Sunday, 12th May. The show will be held at London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.

Who is hosting the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards?

Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are the hosts for the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards.

Following in the footsteps of David Tennant who hosted the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards, Rob and Romesh are returning for another year of hosting the TV accolades.

Speaking after it was revealed that the comedy duo would be returning for the 2024 awards show, the pair played up their working rivalry. Romesh said: “I really thought I’d done enough last year to be asked to host it solo this time, but hosting it with Rob again is also an honour I suppose.”

Meanwhile Rob said: “Romesh and I are absolutely buzzing to be back hosting the BAFTAs. We’ve not seen or spoken to each other since last year when we hosted so it will be good to catch up.

“It’s a real privilege to continually get work together even though our friendship is fake and completely fabricated for commercial gain. My teeth aren’t even that big I wear false ones so I can joke about them. On top of that Romesh isn’t even Asian he just pretends to be so he can do his mum’s accent.”

Who and what shows are nominated for the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards?

The Crown, Black Mirror and Happy Valley are just some of the many TV shows which are nominated at this year’s BAFTA TV Awards with P&O Cruises.

Stars including Helena Bonham Carter, Dominic West, Bella Ramsey and Steve Coogan are nominated for best acting nods, meanwhile Hannah Waddingham, Joe Lycett, Ant and Dec and more are up for entertainment awards.

Up for nomination in the public voted category TV Moment of the Year are scenes from Netflix’s Beckham documentary, Channel 4’s The Piano, BBC One’s Happy Valley, Sky Atlantic’s Succession, BBC One’s Doctor Who, and Sky Atlantic’s The Last of Us.

Floella Benjamin and Lorraine Kelly will be the recipients of this year’s BAFTA Fellowship and BAFTA Special Award respectively, to recognise their amazing contributions to broadcasting over the years.
