With dating show I Kissed a Boy having aired last year, a new series, this time called I Kissed a Girl, follows.

Original show I Kissed a Boy - hosted by Dannii Minogue and narrated by Layton Williams - was the first British dating show to feature exclusively gay men. Now, I Kissed a Girl does the same for the girls.

Here’s everything you need to know about its follow-up…

What is I Kissed a Girl about?

Billed as “the UK’s first dating show for girls who like girls”, the series promises “more twists and turns than ever.”

In I Kissed a Girl, ten singles are matched up beforehand and ten meet for the first time… with a kiss, and are encouraged to give their new relationships a good shot.

There are also Kiss Offs, where the pairs must decide if they want to stick with each other.

Anyone left unkissed at the end of the Kiss Off will be given the elbow.

Who hosts and narrates I Kissed a Girl?

Dannii Minogue is back to play Cupid.

Meanwhile, Liverpudlian TikTok star Charley Marlowe takes over from Bad Education’s Layton Williams as narrator.

Where is I Kissed a Girl set?

The drama will all go down in a beautiful Italian Masseria.

What are the stars saying about I Kissed a Girl?

Aussie celeb Dannii said: “We are so excited to be back and to share the stories of these girls. They are open and honest in their search for love, funny and surprising, so get ready for a whole rollercoaster of emotions. I genuinely laughed and cried watching all the antics in the Masseria."

Charley Marlowe said: “Of COURSE there’s gonna be drama!!! As much as we love it when everyone gets along, an argument is always going to hook us in. Which is exactly what this series does. Shock revelations, mass amounts of snogging (which made me realise I’m more of a prude than I thought) and lesbians being lesbians. It’s got it all!!!"

Watch Kissed a Girl on BBC Three and will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from 5th May.
