The Great British Bake Off 2023 is almost over for another year, as the final three bakers prepare to head into the famous tent for the last time.

Tonight’s final (28th November) sees Matty, Josh and Dan battle it out to become this year’s ultimate Star Baker, after tearful fan-favourite Tasha fell at the final hurdle in the semi-final last week.

The all-male final sees the three bakers rattling around the near-empty tent which once played host to ten hopefuls. After whittling down the contestants to the finalists, tonight’s episode will give us a glimpse into Matty, Josh and Dan’s home lives, and will of course require them to take on three more tasks, including making eight choux pastry eclairs.

In a sneak peek, we can see the three lads setting about making their eclairs. Matty speaks about “trusting your instinct,” and Dan says: “You can see my hand shaking”. As he puts his eclairs in the oven, he adds: “It’s do or die now.”

He then realises that he didn’t dust his creations in icing sugar. “Too late now, isn’t it?” he says, adding: “It wouldn’t be me without forgetting about something, would it?”

All three finalists will hope to impress judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, as Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding oversee proceedings.

Dan, Josh and Matty have all been named Star Baker twice across the series, with Josh being the most recent winner, in the semi-final. Meanwhile, Dan got himself a Hollywood handshake in last week’s show.

The Great British Bake Off final airs on Channel 4 tonight (28th November) at 8pm.
