Voting for the UK Festival Awards is underway, and there’s still time to make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to have your say on the nominations for the 18th edition of the annual competition.
Voting for the 2023 ceremony can be accessed here, and will remain open until 23rd October.
Awards are given for the best large, medium-sized, small, and micro festivals, best new festival, best family festival, best non-music festival, metropolitan festival and also grassroots festival.
Up for public nominations this year are events including Manchester Pride Festival, American Express Presents BST Hyde Park, Camp Bestival, Voices of Windrush, and Orkney Folk Festival - to name just a few which appear in the varied categories.
Virgin Radio’s Chris Evans’ very own Carfest is up for nomination in the Best Medium-Sized Festival category, as well as for Best Family Festival.
Other awards not voted for by the public are also given at the ceremony, after nominations are selected by a festival industry panel. These include the innovation award which last year went to Exit Festival/NFT-Tix and the Sarah Nulty community impact award, which last year went to Beat The Streets.
A UK Greener Festival Award is also given to the festival judged to have been the greenest this year, based on detailed assessment and analysis of its site. Last year, this was awarded to Green Gathering.
Teddy Rocks won 2022’s best family festival award, while 3 Wishes Fairy Festival was the winner of the grassroots festival award.
Mighty Dub Fest was victorious in the non-music category, Radar Festival won best new festival, and Liverpool's Sound City won best metropolitan festival.
Manchester Pride took home the 2022 award for best festival, 2000 Trees for medium sized, and Woo Fest for small.
