Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has opened up about 'freaking out' over concerning skin cancer update that it had been 'building since she was a child'.
The presenter, whose sister Bernie died of cancer and whose other sister Linda is living with cancer - told fans recently that she had been diagnosed with carcinoma on her shoulder and had pre-melanoma on her face.
The former Nolan singer 58, told the Liverpool Echo: "I honestly at that point never realised how massive skin cancer is.
"People think with skin cancer they can treat that. Well they can if they get it in time like any cancer, but, equally, you can die from it."
The star, who has had the carcinoma on her shoulder removed, is now going to get a top to toe check up to keep abreast of her health.

Coleen told Metro earlier this month that she felt 'embarrassed' about making a big deal of the discovery in comparison to what other people - especially her older siblings - have dealt with.
“Because in the grand scheme of things of what people are going through, including my sister, who now has brain cancer. It was just all a bit too dramatic for me."
Linda - who also has breast cancer - told fans earlier this year that her cancer had spread to her brain, while late sister Bernie and Anne have both been through their own battles.
On embracing the nerves during her one-woman tour, she said: "The one thing I've grown up doing is performing and I haven't done it for so long. You never know what's going to happen and I didn't want to have any regrets. I believe in that saying of feel the fear and do it anyway."
She added: "I've been doing Loose Women for 24 years and every single show I do just before I go I have terrible nerves. The girls are always really shocked and like why are you nervous, you do it every week."
